Irasema Otero is a Cuban-American actress, manager, and executive producer, born in 1972. She graduated from the National School of Arts and is currently the executive producer of Vilaplana Films, where she has produced 38 episodes of the documentary series “Leyendas del Exilio”, several short films, and three feature films: “Plantados”, “El Caballo”, and “Plantadas”.

Lilo Vilaplana is a Cuban-American director and writer who has worked in television and film since the 1980s. In his career in Colombia, he directed the successful series “El Capo” for Fox and Paramount, with four seasons. In his career in Miami, he has written and directed three feature films: “Plantados”, “El Caballo”, and “Plantadas”. His work has received numerous awards and nominations, including an International Emmy Award and another Regional Emmy Award, India Catalina Awards for the series “El Capo”, and Best Film awards at the Miami Film Festival for “Plantadas” and “Plantados”.

Camilo Vilaplana is a Colombian-American, born in 1998. He graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA in 2020 and studied at FAMU in Prague in 2019. He co-directed “Plantadas”, his first feature film made in Miami, which won an award at the Miami Film Festival. He was also the 1st AD on “El Caballo” and “Plantados” with Vilaplana Films and has worked on over 15 films with Sunshine Films. He has edited several projects and won Best Director for “Plantadas” at the Independent Film Festival in NY.
